Last term we focused and studied World War Two. We covered lots of different key events and historical figures during this war, and especially found research on Anne Frank and her life extremely interesting.
We also looked at different perspectives of World War Two through texts such as ‘Rose Blanche’ and ‘Goodnight Mr Tom. During RE we explored the Muslim religion, looking into their beliefs and traditions. We were lucky enough to visit a Mosque in Oxford to further our knowledge, which all children found engaging and insightful.
This term we look forward to learning about Judaism, and how their religion differs from our own and the Muslim religion.
Through Term 3, we are excited about a heavily focused science term, looking at the ‘Circulatory System’. We will be exploring the how it works, and even have the opportunity to dissect a lamb’s heart to explore the different parts of the heart, and understand their functions.
Alongside this, our focus text will be ‘Pig Heart Boy’, which links to our Science focus. This term in PE, we continue to develop our dance skills, looking at a range of styles and skills to enable use to devise our own routines. We will also be doing orienteering, practising transferable skills to everyday life such as communication, map following, and problem solving.
