We love to learn and enjoy supporting one another as we make new and exciting discoveries every day.
Last term was jam-packed with lots of learning opportunities. A visit to St Edburg’s Church complemented our RE unit of work and gave us the chance to understand more about how Christians practice their faith. We visited a mosque during term one, and learnt about the beautiful building and the customs and practises of Muslims. This term we are learning about Judaism and look forward to finding out about the celebrations linked to this faith.
Our whole school values are very important to us and we practise how to show them during learning time, on the playground and when we are out and about; always striving to be the best we can be.
Our World War II topic captured our imaginations and taught us about the chronology and gave us important facts about this period in history
‘Rose Blanche’ and ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ – two inspiring texts - have taught us about evacuees and concentration camps, as well as a perspective of war from the allies and axis. Our reading and the writing we have produced has shown that we have gained a more rounded view of World War II.
This term we are reading ‘Pig Heart Boy’ and are excited to be finding out how the circulatory system works. We will see a lamb’s heart being dissected and work towards being able to identify the parts of a heart.
