We have had a super journey to Finland with lots of giggles along the way ( including being taught how to use the creative loom bands!!) The children met their families at the school with big smiles and went off happily for tea and an early night! We will be seeing them first thing in the morning at school and will email again tomorrow evening – Enjoy the sunshine!
Love Mrs Holloway, Mrs Stanley and our children for the week!
Day 2 - Monday 19th May 2014
Hello from Finland! All children slept well and greeted us with huge smiles this morning.
After a Music and English lesson we all went to assembly and each child said something special about themselves to the whole school. Then it was outside to play on the most amazing play equipment ever!!
After a beautiful lunch of chicken and rice the children went home to do activities whilst Mrs Stanley and I went in to a mine 80m underground!!
We look forward to updating you tomorrow! Xx
Day 3 - Tuesday 20th May 2014
Morning! We have just seen the children and they were busy telling us all about their trip to the mine yesterday . They had dressed up warm and enjoyed exploring 80m underground! The girls were particularly excited about swimming and fishing with their friends tomorrow night. They giggled when we showed them video footage of Mrs Stanley taking a dip in the lake last night! Today’s lunch menu is fish fingers and potato. Tonight we return to school to a child led festival based on traditional stories including Peter Pan, Mary Poppins sand Winnie the Pooh. Our children have been involved in some of the music making. All very exciting. Weathers still hot! More news tomorrow!
